The Hotel

Villa Padierna Thermas Hotel is set in an historic boutique building now completely restored and traces its roots to the early 1800’s.

A guesthouse was built between 1830 and 1832 to host a visit of King Fernando VII of Spain. Word soon spread of the therapeutic effects of the baths and mineral spring waters, and members of Europe’s aristocracy quickly made Carratraca their personal retreat. The hotel was at the height of fashionable travel in the 19th century when it attracted such famous visitors as Lord Byron, Rainer Maria Rilke and Empress Marie Eugenie, wife of Napoleon III among others.

Now stunningly refurbished, keeping the historical beauty of this neo-classical building, guests can have a great experience for the first time in a historical setting. On their arrival they will have a warm welcome in the cozy lobby of the Hotel, they will enjoy the light and the sun in our the Andalusian patio, and will disover antiques and art works every corner.
